Swim Strong Aquatic Club (SSAC) has an immediate opening for an Assistant Coach. We are looking for an energetic and outgoing coach with the desire to be part of a great team. SSAC is a non-profit organization located on Fort Drum. Currently, we have a membership of 45 to 55 swimmers, ranging from a pre-swim team to zone qualifiers.

Successful candidates must have basic knowledge of stroke development and swimming technique and should either possess a current USA Swimming coaching card or current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/CPR and be able to pass USA Swimming background check. The coach’s responsibilities are to lead athletes through practices, give individual attention to every swimmer every day by providing positive feedback and encouragement, and be a positive influence on shaping the character of young athletes.

Hours are mix between weeknight evenings, Saturday mornings, and about one meet a month over the weekend. Salary is negotiable and based on experience and certifications. Position will remain open until filled.
